A Sale, Currently and Motivation Saturday

I decided to have a SALE!!!  Click here to see the other great TPT sellers having a sale!

Time for Currently with Farley

My four year old decided to wake up early on Saturday!!!! The reason behind the cartoons being on.  Instead of getting upset, I decided to be productive.

I am in a "biggest loser" challenge at school. It is going "okay". Slower than I like of course. But, this week, I put a pair of pants on that I haven't been able to button in a long time. I could this week!! It was awesome. The pounds may not be dropping like I want, but I guess I am losing inches. I'll take that.

This weekend is B-U-S-Y!
We are having game night here tonight with friends.
My hubby's birthday is tomorrow and the Super Bowl!!!

Last month I wrote about a maid, so many commented about how I should get one. For now, its not in the cards. I just need to suck it up and clean the house. Having a get together is always a good reason. Plus, the laundry is out of control right now.

My 2 truths and a lie:

1) I am not the oldest, I am the youngest of 4. I love being the "baby", even at 42!!!
2) This past week, I started waking up again at 4:50 am and working out. It isn't easy, but it does feel good!
3) My closet isn't huge, but it's long. My husband built this "office" space because I really needed something, but with four boys there isn't an extra room in our house. It's cozy. I like it.

And it's Saturday, which means sharing our motivation for our students.
Mine is kind of lame today, but it worked.
Yesterday, I took a break from our math unit on algebraic expressions. We celebrated Groundhog Day and made predictions for the big game tomorrow.  My kids really liked both activities. They had a lot to share about both events. It was a very talkative day. Thank goodness it was Friday.
I think just switching things up was kind of a relief for them. I wrote about the whole activity here
Here's a peek at our Super Bowl prediction.

  1. Yay for smaller pants! I've been working out/eating healthier too and I got to go down a size as well - doesn't it feel great?! Love your super bowl prediction activity!

  2. I absolutely LOVE your little office - what a great place for it… even if it is "small" and out of the way. It's perfect! If you find that someone else to clean your house and do the laundry… would you mind sendin' them my way?? I really don't want to do any work, but I need clean clothes for the week!

  3. 5 AM, huh. Well done. Seriously. I used to be a morning person. I got up and went to a church class (almost) every day of high school. Did the 6AM shift at McD's. Neither of these things killed me. Now? Now I'm pretty sure that it would. Even when I was doing awesome in the fitness department I got it in after school cause I couldn't get up that early. I wonder how early I'd have to leave from my new house (moved in Dec.) to get to the gym, a workout in, and cleaned up in time to be at school. SHUDDER. Anyway. KEEP IT UP! Inches are way more important than pounds. Muscles weigh more than pounds!
