Giveaway Winner and Monday Made It-August

I have been super busy this week and I am thrilled to share what I have been doing.

First though, I have to announce the winner of my summer giveaway!

Congratulations Lori, I have sent you an email about how to claim your prizes!

And now, time to link  with Tara for this week's Monday Made It of course!

I had this giveaway for my 400 follower and Blogiversary.
Well, when I started planning in early July, I had a little over 400, and yesterday,
I received THIS email from Bloglovin'

Seriously? I am speechless that I "MADE IT" to 500 followers!

And yes, I have to celebrate, but I have to get through this giveaway and the TpT sale. So be sure to stay tuned! I am trying to be creative with my giveaways, so I need some brainstorming time!

My second "made it" is what my husband and I made for our 9th anniversary date last week.
The 9th anniversary gift is pottery, so he took me to a ceramic place near our home and we made this bowl together. We have done this before, but this is the first time, we shared a project.

Of course, I LOVE IT!!!!

I teased about this product I was working on last week. It became a monster,
but I am happy with it.
Texas K-8 Math Standards are completely new this year. I made these cards for 6th-8th to put up daily or weekly on my agenda/objective board.

And since it was ready, I printed and laminated mine.
I teach 6th advanced which means I need 6th AND 7th grade TEKS.
Then I found this to store them in.

Tabbed by color
Now I am organized and ready to switch out as needed.

Another product I revamped were my skill cards
I went ahead and printed these and laminated them as well.
I bet you can guess what I am doing next?
Yep, it involves scissors!

I purchased it last week and made it as well.

It will be an instant bulletin board when I get into my classroom soon.

And I am sure you won't, how could you? But, don't forget the big BACK TO SCHOOL SALE is going on today and tomorrow over at TpT.
Be sure to visit my store, everything is on sale!!!

August Currently

Wow, August came pretty quickly! Can you believe that 2014 is more than half over?

It's time to link up with Farley for every one's Currently. Love getting to know bloggers this way!

Listening: YES! My children are still asleep. It's 9:02 currently! I am soaking in the silence!

Loving: I got my hair colored this week and I LOVE IT!!! I don't pamper myself much, this week, I went overboard, and I am not apologizing for it one bit. Mostly, my hubby loves it, which is good good good. My children say I look like a zebra.
                                                   Before                                       After

Thinking: After doing absolutely NOTHING in June, and a short work related trip in July, the next few days are crazy busy before I start back. We had a team baseball event last night, visiting my mom this week (one day trip), and next week mini vacation to San Antonio with our neighbor besties Not to mention 2 days for curriculum writing at school and a leadership meeting the day before we officially report back.
Good thing I am well rested from June and July! HA!

Wanting: I splurged on my hair this week, but also on a new printer. Except it is giving me fits. I don't like trouble shooting. I just want to turn it on and click print. It's being finicky!

Needing: Our schools participate in a Six Flags promotion for reading and my son received a free ticket. It's what has sparked our trip next weekend with our neighbors. Their son has one too. Well, I can't find mine son's. I have "put it in a safe place" and apparently it is so safe, I can't remember. I have a few days or I am in "trouble" with the boss man round here!

Official back to school day is August 14th, but I will be up at my school many times before that, like most teachers.

P.S. It's 9:17 and my kids are STILL ASLEEP!!!! I actually wrote this post in silence and without interruption! (but they are starting to rustle, I better hurry!

Can't wait to see what you are up to!!!

Bananas for Bundles

I have been super busy this week, super productive! After being lazy and unproductive the first 7 weeks of summer, I filled this week with all nighters!

Okay, not really, I love my sleep way too much. But, in all honesty, I have worked long and hard this week.

I am trying to make a commitment to better my products and work my TpT store more. I love what I buy from the fantastic stores and I want my products to be the same.

Just in time for the big sale!

Something I taught myself this week was BUNDLING!!! Bundles save money and we ALL love saving money. (well, at least I do!) I also learned about linking my products to similar products. I will post about that on a Tried it Tuesday soon.

I created this bundle of my factor task cards.
Exponents
Least Common Multiple
Prime Factorization
Greatest Common Factor

I also revamped and updated my skill cards. I bundled those as well.
They are the same problems I had before, just redone.

For my Texas middle school teachers, I created cards for the new TEKS we are implementing starting this year. I bundled them as well and even have a GREAT deal for Math Departments

I have also been scouring my own wish list. I have several things marked.
I am getting some clip art and this as well.
Common Core Daily Math Warm Ups {6th Grade}
I catch myself not preparing warm ups as timely as I should.
Well, Maneuvering the Middle has done it for me!

Don't forget, I am having a SUMMER GIVEAWAY, that ends  this Sunday.
Winners will be announced Monday!
Enter to win a teacher shirt and a pencil sharpener

Be sure to check out these new options and your own wish lists as well. It's time to get our sale on!

Happy Friday!
